Google Workspace Integration
Legalica connects the Google tools you already use — Calendar, Tasks, Drive, and Meet — with OAuth 2.0 security, granular permissions, and real-time synchronization.
Key features

Two-way sync with Google Calendar and Tasks — matter-tagged events, statute deadline tracking, and smart reminders. Never miss a filing deadline across 324 jurisdictions.
Browse, import, and export documents between Legalica and Google Drive. Automatic matter-organized folder structure keeps every case file in the right place.

One-click Google Meet launch from any matter with auto-linked meeting logs and time tracking. Screen share documents, AI insights, or registry results during client calls.
OAuth 2.0 with granular scopes — only the minimum permissions requested. AES-256 encrypted tokens in EU-resident storage. Revoke access anytime from dashboard or Google Account.
What Is the Google Workspace Integration?
Legalica's Google Workspace Integration bridges your legal practice management with Google's productivity suite. Rather than treating Google apps as external tools, Legalica embeds them as native components of your legal workflow — calendar events carry matter context, tasks link to cases, documents organize by client, and meetings auto-generate from matter records.
The integration uses Google's official OAuth 2.0 authentication with granular scope permissions. You control exactly what Legalica can access — and revoke access at any time from your Google Account settings. No passwords stored. No broad permissions demanded. Just precise, scoped, secure connectivity.
Supported Google Services

OAuth 2.0 Authentication
Security Architecture
Legalica implements the industry-standard OAuth 2.0 Authorization Code Flow with PKCE (Proof Key for Code Exchange):
User clicks "Connect Google Account"
↓
Legalica redirects to Google OAuth endpoint
↓
User authenticates directly with Google (Legalica never sees password)
↓
Google redirects back with authorization code
↓
Legalica exchanges code for access token + refresh token
↓
Tokens stored encrypted in Firestore (EU-resident)
↓
API calls made with short-lived access tokens (1-hour expiry)
↓
Refresh tokens rotate automatically on each useScoped Permissions (Granular Access)
Legalica requests only the minimum scopes required — no blanket "access everything" permissions:
| Scope | Purpose | User Control |
|---|---|---|
calendar.readonly | Display calendar events in dashboard | Revokable anytime |
calendar.events | Create deadlines and sync court dates | Revokable anytime |
tasks.readonly | Import existing Google Tasks | Revokable anytime |
tasks | Create and update matter-linked tasks | Revokable anytime |
drive.readonly | Browse and import Drive files | Revokable anytime |
drive.file | Save Legalica documents to specific folders | Revokable anytime |
meetings.space.created | Create Google Meet sessions | Revokable anytime |
